Chrome Hill Gold

I captured this image on a beautiful sunny morning in late September 2017. I had been watching the weather forecast intently, waiting for an opportune moment to capture a shot that I have been chasing for several years. The shot I wanted, here at Chrome Hill in the Peak District National Park , was of a valley full of mist, drifting through the tree, masking the “dragons backbone” and the valley beyond. On the drive to the peaks the fog through Matlock was looking promising by soon disappeared as I approached
